EXTERRA Stations are placed around your property to intercept termites. Once intercepted, REQUIEM™ Termite Bait is added to the large EXTERRA Station. The termites feed on the Requiem and the colony is eliminated easily and quickly, right at the point of termite attack. The EXTERRA Termite Interception and Baiting System, with its unique Termite Interception Zone encircling your home, is a baiting system that creates a complete Termite Interception Zone around your home. This complete and continuous zone is created by using a patented Focus Termite Attractant™ in each Station so termites are intercepted before they reach your home.

Exterra systems require annual maintenance but are the only termite treatment system on the market today that eradicates 100% of termites.
Bait stations are installed either in the ground or into concrete (if your home is surrounded by concrete). A stainless steel cap ensures that in-concrete bait stations seal flush with the pathway.
If your home already has termites, REQUIEM termite bait is placed in a safe and sealed above-ground station, which is removed when the colony has been eliminated.
The unique design of the EXTERRA station means that termites can be seen, and termite bait can be added without disturbing them. The REQUIEM termite bait is highly palatable to termites, and they will consume it in preference to timber they’ll stop feeding on the timber in your home and eat the bait instead. The bait is completely non-toxic to people and pets.
The termites feed on the REQUIEM and take it back to the colony, where it is fed slowly throughout the entire colony. Once the colony has been eliminated, the remaining REQUIEM is removed. Fresh timber interceptors are placed in the in-ground stations, and any above-ground stations are removed.
To protect you against the constant threat of termites, the EXTERRA system works on an ongoing “peace of mind” process of monitoring, baiting and eliminating.

How EXTERRA works
against Termites
YOU'VE GOT TERMITES, and you want them gone. Here's how EXTERRA does it.
1. EXTERRA starts in the ground…
The first step of using EXTERRA is to install In-ground Stations around your property where termites are likely to be foraging for food. The Stations contain eucalypt timber interceptors that numerous, independent, studies have shown are the termites preferred food source.
2. …or under the concrete…
If your property is surrounded by concrete, then the special EXTERRA In-concrete Station is used. This has a stainless steel cap that seals flush with the pathway.
3. …and inside your home FOR QUICK RESULTS.
EXTERRA Above-ground Stations are the preferred approach when termites are already in your home. REQUIEM Termite Bait is placed in the safe and sealed Station when it is installed. Above-ground Stations speed up the process of colony elimination. After the termite colony is eliminated, the Above-ground Stations are removed.
4. When the termites are intercepted…
Termites are easily detected in the EXTERRA Stations. The unique (patented) design of the EXTERRA Station allows for termites to be seen without disturbing them. This is very important. And the termites are not disturbed when the REQUIEM Termite Bait is added either.
5. …and now the REQUIEM Termite Bait goes to work.
REQUIEM Termite Bait is added without disturbing the termites. This is vital to achieve quick and consistent results. REQUIEM is highly palatable to termites and they readily consume it in preference to timber. In fact, local studies show that once termites start feeding on REQUIEM they stop feeding on the timbers in your home! REQUIEM is also non-toxic to you and your pets.
6. Termites can’t resist REQUIEM, leading to the colony’s quick demise.
The termites feed on the REQUIEM and take it back to the colony where it is fed slowly throughout the entire colony. Since the termites die gradually, they do not associate the colony’s demise with the consumption of REQUIEM. This ensures that the entire colony is eliminated.
7. The colony is eliminated.
Any remaining REQUIEM is removed. Fresh timber interceptors are placed in the In-ground Stations, and the Above-ground Stations are removed. To protect you against the constant threat from new termite colonies or other established colonies, the EXTERRA System works on an ongoing process of ‘Peace of Mind’ monitoring, baiting and eliminating.

Will the EXTERRA Stations attract Termites to my home?
Rest easy, the answer is no. The EXTERRA Stations protect your home and will only intercept those termites that have entered and are foraging in your garden. If the Stations weren’t there, then these termites would eventually seek out and attack your home.
With EXTERRA, Stations with FOCUS Termite Attractant™ are discretely placed around your home.
The FOCUS evolves the gaseous attractant that termites adore over a 2 m radius. Thus, when the EXTERRA Stations are placed around your home, they link together to form the EXTERRA Termite Interception Zone™, protecting your home. EXTERRA then does its job naturally by directing termites to the Stations and not to your home, luring them to their “Last Supper”
If you choose another baiting system, the termites are likely to pass between the small stations and again find their way into your home. This is because the Termite Interception Zone that stops termites from passing between our Stations is unique to EXTERRA and protected by international patents.
